This post is a shameless plug for peace.
UmaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6813652540538023883.post-77229732811093763262008-03-20T13:59:00.000-04:002008-03-20T13:59:00.000-04:00And a trillion spent when it could have gone to Gr...And a trillion spent when it could have gone to Green technolgies. Instead of fighting a war for oil (which we are) we could create new alternatives that will heal instead of hurt.

And it's so sad that many of us (myself included, and I'm anti-war) didn't realize it was an anniversery. I felt rather ashamed of myself. Now however I am real...I never supported this war. Now however I am really worried about leaving. Will we leave without any humanitarian efforts? Will we leave and create a vacuum like we did in Afghanistan - allowing hate to fester and then a force like the Al Queda to enter?

I like hearing that with a Democratic President withdrawal is on the horizon but I have yet to hear a plan to help that doesn't include weapons.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6813652540538023883.post-90637966322968424072008-03-19T14:17:00.000-04:002008-03-19T14:17:00.000-04:00Yes, this war has gone on longer now than American...Yes, this war has gone on longer now than American involvement in WW 2!!

Time to end the war. But I also feel very strongly that we should be offering amnesty to like ... pretty much any Iraqi who wants to come here. We broke it, we can't fix it, the least we can do is let them move here.ruchihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17043512641324366469noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6813652540538023883.post-65283684977344581112008-03-19T09:42:00.000-04:002008-03-19T09:42:00.000-04:00It's hard to believe it's been FIVE YEARS! And it...It's hard to believe it's been FIVE YEARS! And it's like nothing has improved. Five years.

Yes, bring them home.
