Oh Honey!...Absolutely! AND--dog poop. I have a Bichon Frise that thinks it's just too darn cold to poop outside right now so he "saves" it until we bring him back in. It has been below zero degrees (literally) everyday for 2 weeks now so we can't leave him outside too long or he will get frostbite...the little evil Bichon knows that too... Sorry, but I'm keeping the paper towels for dog incidents...Mama needs her sanity!
We have a dedicated dustpan and whisk broom *just* for pet related messes. I scoop the solids and carry them outdoors. Since we have a stained concrete floor downstairs, I can just "mop" the spot with a wet rag and toss the rag into the pile of Things Which Must Be Washed With Hot Water. But upstairs, is a whole other story, because we have carpets upstairs. My husband insists on using the carpet steamer to clean up pet messes . . . so it's electricity instead of paper towels. But my five-year home-renovation plan includes getting rid of the carpet, so that should be better.
Yes, we do still have one roll of paper towels for emergencies . . . and we've had the same one for three months now!

Agreed...except change it to cat puke. :-) We haven't given up paper towels, but that is the only time I use them.

Ick. I'll add another: half-eaten mouse the cat dragged in this morning. Shudder.

Oh...I would have to make an exception for dog puke! I also use the dust pan method...
Yeah, I too would make an exception for dog puke. Bleh.
